what does it mean to "seize the day?"
what exactly do you do when you make "full use" of your time?
what if i spent the day rushing from one place to another,
what if i spent the day completing three papers,
what if i spent the day lounging in the cafe,
what if i spent the day walking contently around the neighborhood?
what if all these are equally "gratifying?"
so don't tell me i'm wasting my time just wandering around,
don't tell me i'm being paranoid and nervous
preparing for a presentation two weeks from now--
people know the pace most suitable for them.

doing what your heart desires - i think that's exactly what 'seizing the day' is. taking a stroll on a nice day, or spending hours trying to understanding a complicated idea are both making most out of the time you have, as long as that's what you feel like doing.
hope you're doing well!
