days planned, scheduled, filled

body's tired
eyes are sore
i need (to) sleep

and: waiting
keeps me suspended
clawing, reaching
hoping

i'm not sleeping well these days.
it's making me grumpy
and i'm going to miss practice tomorrow morning
i feel it

better to double check

so i proceed to find out if shipping fees are the same
regardless of how many books i buy.
the answer pleased me.

the next day:
i decided to surf around,
opening random links, which one of them happened
to be "[MY] ACCOUNT,"
where i found out that i ordered all the books i had checked
(when i attempted to "verify" my guess that
shipping fees DO remain the same)
and that i currently have THREE shipments heading my way

it wouldn't have resulted this way
if i hadn't been CURIOUS and chose to click that
"Buy on 1-Click" button
but NO, i just had to try
and look where it got me.

our room acquired a live-in guest yesterday:
Bearded Dragon named "mr. beetle"
"mr." being the middle name.
he's easy to handle, clinging to hands desperately
but has giddy moments when left alone in the terrarium
loveable really

visited the art gallery with my friend today
was refreshing in every way
though we may not receive all the messages
the painting sought to convey
especially when they took on forms unimaginable to all
save the artist herself

our stay at the gallery lengthened
due to unexpected thunderstorm
soaked, we spent an hour in the restroom
drying ourselves with the overworked hand dryer
a thousand apologies
(we'll remember to bring umbrellas next time)

erase that guilty, troubled look
