had and spent time thinking:
about silly randomness,
but mostly responsibility--
my responsibilties
as a student, daughter, tutor, friend
if my thoughts could travel,
they'd be in Bolivia, no,
scattered across South America--
jumbled and confused they are

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won
Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

i heard a nightingale sing
in a low croon that heals aching hearts,
and the countless raw wounds in the audience.
the guitarists were amazing too,
completely and utterly
emersed in their world of music
and when she murmured,
"thank you, ladies,"
an uplift of lips,
in response to some fans,
i felt myself flush at the sexy tone.
smooth, rich, thick--
i could drown in her songs
pity that she didn't sing
"The Prettiest Thing"
i would've like to hear it
and the countless raw wounds in the audience.

recently,
i've been watching movies of different genres,
each having their own impact on me.
the first one left me in a pensive state,
trying to work out what had took place
the second one left me in tears-- shattered
forced me to brood over events,
of the movie, and of my life
realistic in an ironic way
the third one left me in awe,
twisting the plot successfully
and i'm reminded every day of how much i love music
pity that i can't play it
each having their own impact on me.

anecdote II:
today,
in a crowded store selling computer-related things,
i found myself stuck in a narrow walkway,
slowly i inched forward,
only to meet an advancing guy's chest.
"i'll let you through first," i murmured, backing up--
that's when another guy marches in,
blocking the exit, and locking me in the tiny space.
i looked back to the first guy
he dipped his head and said,
"jump over to the other aisle."
"eh?" i lifted up wide eyes.
a heap of equipments separated the two walkways
"just kidding." a smirk, and he allowed me to pass.
my roommate thought that i should've asked for his number

waitinglist
cold weather
2 books,
a concert,
money,
unpredictable surprises,
these i await.
frowns don't become me
